Saltwater Fishing Piers

Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway
West of State Route 19 and the on south side of the of the Barge Canal is the Cross Florida Greenway.  Along the 5 mile stretch are covered fishing piers, about one every mile.
There is easy access via a dirt road almost the entire length of the Greenway. Shore fishing is also possible along the western half. Restrooms are available at about 2/3 rds the way out to the gulf.

Fort Island Trail and Park Fishing Piers
There are two fishing piers on Fort Island Trail, one at the Park located about 4 miles west of rt.19 on Rt.44/ Fort Island Trail, and one at the very end of Rt.44/Fort Island Trail. The first one is located on the Crystal River and the farthest one is located on the Gulf of Mexico.






Just A good shore fishing spot, Not a fishing pier
At western end of rt 40 at Yankeetown the Withlachoochee runs along the highway
and there's easy access to shore. This is only a few hundred yards from the boat launch and the Gulf of Mexico. A good time would be slack tide and early mornings.


Crystal River Watersports Bait and Dive Shop
Behind The Days Inn on Rt 19 north of Crystal River, For a fee you can fish from their dock in the crystal clear waters. Bait and tackle are available.
